Mobile Dentists Smile Program
The West Milford Health Department is facilitating a dental care program designed to help families who need assistance for children ages 18 months to 18 years. The Mobile Dentists Smile Program will pull into the West Milford Town Hall meeting room on Tuesday, March 24, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The program screening includes dental exams, cleanings, x-rays, and sealants. The service is free to those families that qualify and has subsidized fees for all others. The group, Mobile Dentists, will evaluate the financial information based on their criteria and determine any fees.
Parents whose children attend local schools should contact their school nurse for a permission form if they haven’t received one yet. Flyers were also sent to area nursery schools. Complete it and return it to the Health Department by March 6. Parents with non-school aged children should call the Health Department at 973-728-2725 for a form. The Township of West Milford will notify parents when an appointment time is set. Appointments last approximately 20 minutes. Parents or guardians will be required to bring their child to the appointment at Town Hall.
